Remote DACA Renewal Appointments
During this free legal appointment, National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) staff will complete and subsequently file applications for qualified applicants to RENEW their Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). As our community continues to face the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) is following CDC’s recommendations and the State of Illinois’ shelter in place order and we are taking measures to protect our staff, volunteers, and clients. These appointments will follow a remote, digital format.
This appointment will take place telephonically with an NIJC caseworker and will last about one hour, with slots available from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. After you register, you will receive an email linking to a questionnaire that lets NIJC confirm that you qualify to renew your DACA and assess your potential eligibility for other immigration benefits. In order to confirm your appointment, you must complete this questionnaire and follow the instructions to return it to NIJC by July 9, 2020.
Once we have reviewed your questionnaire and confirmed your eligibility, we will email you to confirm your registration, select your appointment time slot, and send you additional details about the remote format of the appointments. If you do not have an email address, or if you do not receive an email about next steps, please call Soledad Mendoza at 312-660-1683. If you do not check your email and return the questionnaire, we cannot confirm your appointment.
